How do I know if we actually need a rebrand?
Usually, it’s not because you suddenly hate your logo. It’s because the business has moved forward and the brand hasn’t. Your products have expanded, distribution has grown, the company is more sophisticated, but the identity or packaging still reflects an earlier version of the business. If you’re unsure, that’s exactly what we determine before deciding what needs to change.
How do you price projects?
Every engagement is scoped around what the business actually needs. Most comprehensive brand and packaging projects are $25K–$60K+, with larger systems and rollouts extending beyond that. You’ll know the scope, investment and what we’re solving before the work begins.
What am I actually paying for beyond a new logo and packaging?
You’re paying to solve the system underneath them. That means figuring out what should stay, what needs to change, how the brand should position itself visually, and creating a system that can hold together across packaging, new products, sales materials and future growth. The goal isn’t simply to make things look better. It’s to make the brand work better.
How do I know a rebrand will actually be worth the investment?
A rebrand isn’t a magic switch that guarantees more sales, and we won’t pretend it is. It makes sense when the existing brand is actively creating friction—making you look less established than you are, confusing the product line, weakening shelf presence, slowing launches or requiring constant creative fixes. If branding isn’t the problem holding the business back, we’ll tell you.
What if we already have parts of our brand that work?
Good. A rebuild doesn’t mean burning everything down. Part of the process is identifying what has earned recognition or equity and deciding what deserves to come forward. Sometimes the right answer is evolution. Sometimes it’s a more significant rebuild. We make that decision deliberately.
How involved will I need to be?
You’ll be involved at the moments where your knowledge and decisions matter most, but you shouldn’t have to become the creative director. We’ll lead the process, bring recommendations to you and create clear points for feedback and approval. The goal is to get what’s in your head out of your head—not add another job to your week.
Who will actually be working on my brand?
You work directly with me, Ivan Trushin, throughout the engagement, from strategy through creative direction. I stay closely involved and responsible for the work, while bringing in trusted specialists when a project calls for additional support. You’re never handed off to a junior team or disconnected from the person leading the creative direction.
What if I don’t like the creative direction?
We don’t build an entire brand around a direction you don’t believe in. Strategy and creative direction are reviewed before the system is expanded across identity, packaging and other applications. If the direction isn’t right, we solve it there—not after months of work and a big mystery reveal.
How long does a typical engagement take?
The age-old question. It’s a bit like asking how long it takes to build a clock—it depends on the clock. Some are simple. Some have a lot of moving parts. Most of our engagements run 3–9 months, depending on scope, complexity, number of SKUs, and rollout. Once we know what we’re building, you’ll have a clear timeline and milestones before we begin.
What happens after the initial engagement is complete?
For many of our clients, the initial engagement is just the beginning. Once the brand is built, we move into Brand Stewardship, where Trushin Studio becomes an ongoing creative partner—helping guide and design new packaging, product launches, campaigns, brand updates, and the everyday decisions that shape how the brand shows up. The advantage is continuity: you have a partner who already knows the business, understands the brand, and can help it evolve without losing what made it work in the first place.
Can you work with our existing marketing team, printer or other partners?
Yes. We regularly work alongside internal marketing teams, printers, packaging vendors, photographers, developers and other outside partners. Part of building a usable brand is making sure the people responsible for implementing it actually know how to use it.
